Family Programs
Family programs are intergenerational learning experiences, not children’s workshops attended by parents. Children and adults participate as creative partners, looking and making alongside one another.
Sessions incorporate close looking, conversation, storytelling, movement, play, material exploration, and artmaking, with room for every member of the group to contribute what they notice and imagine.

The Signature Family Art Experience
The core family program. Adults and children look closely at the same work of art, share what each of them notices, and then make side by side as creative partners.

Looking, Moving & Making
A more active session that uses movement, play, and looking games to explore a work of art before the group moves into the studio together.

Reading Pictures as a Family
Picture books and works of art side by side. Families build a story out loud from what they see, then make the story into something they can take home.

Experimenting with Materials
A materials-led session. Families investigate how a material behaves — what it can and will not do — and follow that discovery rather than a finished example.

Identity, Memory & Belonging
Families look at artists working with memory, migration, and place, talk about their own histories, and make work that holds something of their own story.

A Museum Visit, Continued
Built around a collection or exhibition. Families look and talk in front of the work, then continue in a studio session that grows directly out of the visit.
