Museum in a School is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or speech input.
The standard we work to
WCAG 2.1, Level AA
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard the US Department of Justice has adopted for state and local government websites, and we hold this site to it even though we are a private organization.
Many of the schools, districts, and libraries we work with have their own accessibility obligations. Meeting the same standard means our site does not become a problem for them.
Access in the programs themselves
Accessibility applies to our programs as much as to this website. Sessions use multimodal teaching approaches and can be adapted in collaboration with educators, librarians, and program staff to support participants with disabilities.
